    Andrew C. Stone, MD - Certified in Pulmonary and Addiction Care

    Based in Providence, RI, Dr. Andrew C. Stone has led addiction medicine for over a decade. He volunteers with the Rhode Island Free Clinic and is a consultant and practitioner with the Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence. Andrew C. Stone, MD, also delivers telehealth solutions that meet the needs of Providence, RI residents to determine their eligibility for and increase access to colorectal cancer screening.

     

    Building on an MD earned at the University of Vermont, Dr. Stone completed his residency with the Rhode Island Hospital/ Miriam Hospital Brown Medical School’s internal medicine program and ultimately served as chief medical resident. He subsequently pursued a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at Brown Medical School. He maintains board certifications in internal, pulmonary, and addiction medicine.

     

    Dr. Stone’s background includes a physician and pulmonary consultant role with Eleanor Slater Hospital. He managed tracheostomies and was a primary attending physician for the chronic ventilator unit. He determined the appropriate drugs and procedures for patients and oversaw sleep studies, six-minute walks, spirometry, and pulmonary function tests.
